1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyNikahGuide ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, Nikah seekers, wedding vendors, Nikah Guides, and any other person who accesses or uses the Platform.

2. Description of Service

MyNikahGuide is a Shariah-compliant Muslim marriage guidance platform connecting Muslim singles across Africa with each other, with Nikah Guides (Moulanas, Imams, marriage counsellors, attorneys), and with wedding service providers (wedding planners, venues, audio-visual and hospitality vendors).

We are a marketplace platform — we do not own, operate, or control the professional services, vendor listings, or matches facilitated through our Platform. All services are provided directly by registered third-party professionals and vendors.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Enquiries and Payments

When you submit an enquiry or booking through MyNikahGuide:

  • You enter into a direct relationship with the service provider
  • Payment terms are set by the individual provider
  • Cancellation policies vary by provider and are displayed before confirmation
  • We may charge a subscription or facilitation fee for platform access

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) or the currency indicated on the listing. You are responsible for any applicable bank or transaction charges.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are determined by each vendor or professional and are clearly displayed on their listing pages. MyNikahGuide is not responsible for refunds — all refund requests must be directed to the relevant service provider.

In case of disputes, we will make reasonable efforts to mediate between you and the provider to reach a fair resolution.

6. Vendor and Professional Obligations

Wedding vendors, Nikah Guides, and other professionals listing on MyNikahGuide agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their services
  • Honor all confirmed enquiries and bookings at the stated price
  • Maintain necessary qualifications, licenses, and insurance where applicable
  • Respond to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Deliver services in accordance with their listed descriptions
7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users
  • Contact members outside the platform to bypass subscription fees
  • Upload malicious software or engage in hacking or scraping
  • Create fake profiles or impersonate other persons
  • Use the Platform for any illegal or un-Islamic purpose
8. Intellectual Property

All content on MyNikahGuide, including text, images, logos, and software, is our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

MyNikahGuide acts as an intermediary platform. We are not liable for:

  • The conduct, compatibility, or suitability of any member or professional listed on the Platform
  • The quality or outcome of any marriage, relationship, or vendor service initiated through the Platform
  • Provider cancellations, service changes, or failure to deliver
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fee you paid to MyNikahGuide in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyNikahGuide, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
